Tonight when the girls were saying their prayers, Macy went first. Her prayer went like this.
"Thank you Lord for our wonderful dinner. Thank you for this wonderful day you gave to us. I know you can't walk because you died on the cross. Amen."
I just silently smiled. Then it was Elle's turn.
"Dear God, thank you for this day. I saw a dracula movie once and I know that Jesus didn't die on a tree because he died on the cross. I know that must make you sad. It makes me sad too. I know your heart is breaking into little tiny pieces. Mine is too. I love you God and Jesus. Amen."
Ok - so I have no idea what the Dracula movie has to do with that or if she has really ever seen a Dracula movie but it just made me laugh. And I thought it was so sweet to hear her telling God that He must be sad because His son died on the cross.
Just wanted to share that. It made me smile. I love my girls. (and my boy too! ;-))
